From Saturday, August 11 to Sunday, August 12, 2018, the African and Caribbean Cultural Association e.V. invites you to an African and Caribbean culture and music festival.

According to Bob Marley „Let’s get together and feel alright,“ the organizer wants to bring together people from different cultures to create a way to reduce prejudice within the society.

On the festival, African textiles, handcrafts, jewellery , musical instruments and typical African and Caribbean food are available for purchase. In addition, there will be a bouncy castle for children, someone who does braids and a soccer arena.

Like last year, good live music will be provided. Last year, acts were performed by the Nigerian musician DBOI X, who creates modern African dance music mixed with Afro-Pop, Afro-Beat and Afro-Vibes. Moreover, the The Love and Unity Band from Ghana also delivered a great performance including afrobeats, reggae and various styles of gospel music. However, the highlight of the event was „Kumpo“, an African VooDoo ceremony. In addition, the band Los 4 del Sol from Cuba performed songs with a mixture of salsa, merengue, bachata and cha cha cha. We hope they will perform again this year!

The event will take place at the Rebstockpark in Frankfurt am Main (Max- Pruss- Straße 9). Admission for children under the age of 12 is free.  Each day pass is priced at 4 Euro.
